Investigating the role of agricultural education in promoting agroforestry practices

Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to investigate the role of agricultural education in promoting agroforestry practices. Agroforestry is an innovative farming system that combines the cultivation of trees with agricultural crops or livestock, offering numerous environmental, economic, and social benefits. However, the adoption of agroforestry practices among farmers is still limited. This study will examine the effectiveness of agricultural education programs in raising awareness, knowledge, and skills related to agroforestry. By conducting surveys, interviews, and field observations, this research will explore the impact of agricultural education on farmers' attitudes towards agroforestry, their adoption rates, and the challenges they face. The findings of this study will provide valuable insights into the potential of agricultural education in promoting sustainable farming practices and contribute to the development of strategies to enhance the integration of agroforestry into agricultural systems.
