Assessing the effectiveness of experiential learning in agricultural education: A case study of farm internships

Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to assess the effectiveness of experiential learning in agricultural education through a case study of farm internships. Experiential learning provides students with hands-on opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world agricultural settings. Farm internships offer students the chance to gain practical skills, develop critical thinking abilities, and enhance their understanding of agricultural practices. This study will examine the impact of farm internships on students' learning outcomes, career readiness, and overall satisfaction with agricultural education. By conducting surveys, interviews, and analyzing academic performance data, this research will provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of experiential learning in agricultural education. The findings of this study will inform educators, policymakers, and stakeholders on the benefits and challenges of incorporating farm internships into agricultural education curricula.
