Analyzing the impact of agricultural education on farmers' adoption of climate-smart agriculture

Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to analyze the impact of agricultural education on farmers' adoption of climate-smart agriculture practices. Climate change poses significant challenges to agricultural productivity and sustainability. Climate-smart agriculture offers a holistic approach to address these challenges by promoting practices that enhance productivity, resilience, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Agricultural education plays a crucial role in disseminating knowledge and raising awareness about climate-smart agriculture among farmers. This study will examine the extent to which agricultural education influences farmers' adoption of climate-smart practices, including conservation agriculture, agroforestry, and precision farming. By conducting surveys, interviews, and analyzing data, this research will provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of agricultural education programs in promoting climate-smart agriculture. The findings of this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on agricultural education and inform policymakers and educators on strategies to enhance the adoption of climate-smart agriculture practices among farmers.
