This thesis explores the utilization of mobile technology to enhance agricultural extension services in rural communities. With the increasing availability and affordability of mobile devices, there is a growing opportunity to leverage these technologies to improve communication, knowledge sharing, and access to agricultural information among rural farmers. The study is motivated by the need to address the challenges faced by smallholder farmers in accessing timely and relevant agricultural extension services, which are crucial for improving productivity and livelihoods. The research begins with an introduction that sets the context for the study, highlighting the importance of agricultural extension services in supporting rural development and food security. The background of the study provides an overview of the current state of agricultural extension services in rural communities, emphasizing the limitations and gaps that exist in traditional extension approaches.
