Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to assess the impact of urbanization on agricultural land use and explore sustainable land management strategies. Rapid urbanization has led to the conversion of agricultural land for urban development, posing significant challenges to food security and sustainable land use. This study will analyze land use change patterns, quantify the loss of agricultural land, and examine the socio-economic and environmental implications of urbanization on agriculture. Additionally, it will explore sustainable land management strategies, such as urban agriculture, land-use planning, and green infrastructure, to mitigate the negative impacts of urbanization on agricultural land. The findings will contribute to a better understanding of the relationship between urbanization and agricultural land use and provide insights for developing sustainable land management practices.
