This research paper aims to explore the role of agricultural economics in urban agriculture. Urban agriculture refers to the practice of cultivating, processing, and distributing food within urban areas. As cities face challenges related to food security, environmental sustainability, and community development, urban agriculture has gained attention as a potential solution. This study examines the economic aspects of urban agriculture, including its contribution to local economies, employment generation, and income generation for urban farmers. Through a combination of theoretical frameworks, empirical studies, and case analyses, this paper investigates the economic viability, challenges, and opportunities associated with urban agriculture. The findings of this research contribute to a better understanding of the economic dimensions of urban agriculture and its potential to address urban food system challenges.
