This research focuses on examining the role of agricultural cooperatives in promoting agroecology. Agroecology is an approach to farming that emphasizes ecological principles and the integration of social, economic, and environmental factors. Agricultural cooperatives, which are member-owned and member-controlled organizations, have the potential to play a significant role in advancing agroecological practices and principles. This study aims to analyze the various ways in which agricultural cooperatives can support and promote agroecology, including knowledge sharing, collective decision-making, resource pooling, and market access. By reviewing existing literature, case studies, and empirical evidence, this research seeks to provide insights into the potential benefits and challenges of agricultural cooperatives in fostering agroecological transitions. The findings of this study will contribute to a better understanding of the role of agricultural cooperatives in promoting sustainable and resilient agricultural systems.
