The adoption of sustainable agricultural practices is crucial for promoting environmental sustainability, improving food security, and enhancing the livelihoods of smallholder farmers. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices among smallholder farmers. The research is motivated by the need to address the challenges facing smallholder farmers in adopting sustainable practices and to identify strategies for promoting their adoption. The study begins with an introduction that provides background information on the importance of sustainable agricultural practices and the challenges faced by smallholder farmers. The problem statement highlights the gap in knowledge regarding the factors that influence adoption and the need for research in this area. The objectives of the study are to identify the key factors influencing adoption, assess the level of adoption among smallholder farmers, and explore strategies for promoting sustainable practices. A comprehensive literature review is conducted to analyze existing studies on sustainable agricultural practices and adoption factors. The review highlights key concepts such as knowledge and awareness, access to resources, social networks, and policy support as factors influencing adoption. The methodology chapter outlines the research design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques used in the study. Findings from the study reveal that factors such as access to information and training, availability of resources, social networks, and policy support significantly influence the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices among smallholder farmers.
