SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Small-scale farmers often face challenges in accessing affordable and appropriate agricultural machinery, limiting their productivity and profitability. This study aims to address this issue by focusing on the design and fabrication of low-cost agricultural machinery specifically tailored for small-scale farmers. The research will involve the identification of the machinery needs and requirements of small-scale farmers, considering factors such as crop types, farm size, and local conditions. Based on these requirements, innovative and cost-effective designs will be developed for essential agricultural machinery, such as seeders, planters, cultivators, and harvesters. The study will also explore the use of locally available materials and simple manufacturing techniques to ensure affordability and ease of maintenance. Additionally, the performance and usability of the fabricated machinery will be evaluated through field trials and feedback from small-scale farmers. The outcomes of this research will provide practical solutions to enhance the productivity and livelihoods of small-scale farmers, enabling them to compete effectively in the agricultural market. By designing and fabricating low-cost agricultural machinery, we can contribute to the empowerment and sustainability of small-scale farming communities, ultimately fostering inclusive and resilient agricultural systems.
