Thesis Abstract
This research project aims to explore strategies for promoting adult literacy in non-native English speakers. Literacy skills are essential for individuals to fully participate in society, and for non-native English speakers, acquiring literacy in a second language can be a significant challenge. This study will examine the unique needs and challenges faced by non-native English speakers in developing literacy skills, explore effective instructional approaches and interventions, and analyze the impact of adult literacy programs on language proficiency and empowerment.
