The rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed access to and delivery of educational resources, underscoring the importance of digital literacy for adult learners seeking to enhance their educational outcomes. Despite widespread recognition of digital literacy as a critical competence, limited empirical evidence exists on its specific impact on adult learners’ academic performance and lifelong learning engagement in diverse educational settings. This study aims to investigate the influence of digital literacy levels on the educational achievements of adult learners, with particular focus on skills acquisition, course completion rates, and self-efficacy in digital environments. The specific objectives include assessing digital literacy levels among adult learners, examining the relationship between digital literacy and educational outcomes, and identifying the key digital skills that facilitate successful learning experiences. Employing a descriptive correlational research design, the study integrated quantitative and qualitative approaches to provide a comprehensive understanding of the phenomena. The target population comprised 800 adult learners enrolled in continuing education programs at technical colleges within a metropolitan area. A stratified random sampling technique was utilized to select a sample of 300 participants, ensuring representation across various age groups, educational backgrounds, and employment statuses. Data collection instruments included a validated Digital Literacy Assessment Scale (DLAS), designed to measure competencies in information literacy, communication, digital safety, and content creation, alongside a semi-structured interview protocol for a subset of 30 participants to explore contextual factors influencing digital literacy acquisition. The quantitative data obtained from the DLAS were analyzed using multiple regression analysis to determine the extent to which digital literacy predicts educational outcomes, including GPA, course completion, and self-efficacy scores. The qualitative data from interviews were subjected to thematic analysis, aiming to identify recurrent patterns, perceived barriers, and enabling factors related to digital skills development.
