Examining the Impact of Adult Education on Digital Inclusion

Thesis Abstract

Digital inclusion has become increasingly important in today's society, as access to and proficiency in digital technologies are essential for full participation in various aspects of life, including education, employment, and civic engagement. This research project aims to examine the impact of adult education on digital inclusion and explore the strategies and approaches employed in adult education programs to bridge the digital divide.

The research will begin with a comprehensive literature review to examine the theoretical foundations and empirical evidence on the relationship between adult education and digital inclusion. It will analyze existing studies and initiatives that focus on adult education and digital inclusion to identify key factors, such as digital literacy, access to technology, and digital skills training, that contribute to successful digital inclusion outcomes.

The research methodology will involve a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data will be collected through surveys and assessments to measure the impact of adult education on participants' digital literacy, digital skills, and access to technology. Qualitative data will be gathered through interviews and focus groups to gain insights into the experiences and perspectives of adult learners regarding the role of adult education in promoting digital inclusion.
