Assessing the Effectiveness of Mentoring Programs in Adult Education

Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to assess the effectiveness of mentoring programs in adult education. Mentoring has been recognized as a valuable approach to support adult learners in their educational journey, providing guidance, motivation, and personalized support. However, there is a need to evaluate the impact and outcomes of mentoring programs in adult education to ensure their effectiveness and inform future program development.

The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. Adult learners who have participated in mentoring programs will be selected as participants, and their experiences, perceptions, and outcomes will be assessed. Additionally, mentors and program coordinators will be interviewed to gather insights into the design, implementation, and effectiveness of mentoring programs in adult education.

The research will focus on various dimensions of mentoring programs, including the impact on learner motivation, engagement, academic achievement, and personal development. The findings will provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of mentoring as a support mechanism in adult education and inform the design and implementation of future mentoring programs.
