SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
This research project aims to investigate the impact of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on firm performance. Corporate social responsibility refers to a company's commitment to conducting business in an ethical and sustainable manner, taking into account its social, environmental, and economic impacts. Firm performance, on the other hand, encompasses various financial and non-financial indicators that reflect a company's overall success and value creation.
The research will adopt a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of financial and CSR data and qualitative analysis of interviews with company executives and stakeholders. The quantitative analysis will involve examining the relationship between CSR activities and financial performance metrics, such as profitability, return on investment, and stock market performance. Additionally, non-financial performance indicators, including employee satisfaction, customer loyalty, and reputation, will be considered to capture the broader impact of CSR on firm performance.
Furthermore, the study will explore the mechanisms through which CSR influences firm performance, such as improved stakeholder relationships, enhanced brand image, and risk management. The qualitative analysis will provide insights into the motivations, challenges, and strategies employed by companies in implementing CSR initiatives and measuring their impact on performance.
The findings of this research will contribute to the existing literature on the relationship between CSR and firm performance. By examining the impact of CSR on both financial and non-financial performance indicators, this study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the value creation potential of CSR practices. The research outcomes can inform companies in developing effective CSR strategies, help investors in evaluating the long-term sustainability of firms, and guide policymakers in promoting responsible business practices.
Overall, this research project seeks to enhance the understanding of the impact of corporate social responsibility on firm performance, providing valuable insights for both academia and practitioners in the fields of business, sustainability, and corporate governance.
