Impact of coreldraw and photoshop on newspaper and magazine page planning and design using ovation magazine, the punch newspaper and the guardian newspaper

The research examined the Impact of CorelDraw and Photoshop on Newspaper and Magazine Page planning and Design using Ovation Magazine, the Punch Newspaper and the Guardian Newspaper. It was revealed that the advent and use of CorelDraw and Photoshop is a plus in page planning, design, colouration, photo editing and cropping to better the production. Survey research method was adopted using simple random sampling technique was also adopted to select respondents. Also, the data analysis and interpretations of findings was done using frequency and, percentage method the research recommends that Photo journalism and Graphic Arts should be taught separately in higher institution just like many institutions have separated marketing, public relations and advertising to enable students have broad knowledge of what the work is and the challenges ahead of them.
