Identifying difficult teaching and learning topics in the senior secondary school curricula in Nigeria is crucial for improving the quality of education. This research project aims to investigate the specific topics that students and teachers find challenging in the senior secondary school curricula across various subjects. The study will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining surveys and interviews to gather data from both students and teachers. The research will focus on subjects such as Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Economics, which are core subjects in the senior secondary school curriculum. By identifying the difficult topics within these subjects, the study aims to provide insights into areas where students may need additional support and where teachers may require further training. The findings from this research will be beneficial for curriculum developers, educational policymakers, school administrators, teachers, and students. Understanding the specific topics that are challenging for students can help in designing targeted interventions to support student learning.
