Budget and budgetary control play a crucial role in ensuring accountability in government parastatals. This research project aims to explore the significance of budgeting and budgetary control as tools for promoting accountability within government agencies. The study will investigate how the budget process is designed, implemented, and monitored in different government parastatals to ensure transparency and fiscal responsibility. One of the key objectives of this research is to examine the relationship between budgeting and accountability in government parastatals. By analyzing how budgets are prepared and utilized in these organizations, the study seeks to highlight the impact of effective budgetary control mechanisms on enhancing accountability and preventing financial mismanagement.
