Urbanization has profoundly altered natural habitats, prompting avian species to adapt their foraging strategies in response to changing resource availability and environmental conditions. Despite the increasing recognition of urban areas as critical habitats for avian biodiversity, comprehensive comparative analyses of foraging behaviors between urban and rural bird populations remain limited. This study aims to elucidate differences in foraging strategies employed by bird populations across urban and rural landscapes, thereby contributing to understanding behavioral adaptations amidst habitat transformation. Specifically, the research seeks to identify variations in foraging modes, resource selection, and temporal activity patterns, assess the influence of environmental variables on these strategies, and evaluate the ecological and conservation implications of such behavioral differentiation. Employing a comparative cross-sectional research design, the study was conducted in two distinct geographic areas characterized by contrasting land-use patterns an urban metropolis with a population of approximately 3 million residents and adjacent rural landscapes dominated by agricultural and natural habitats.
