Abstract
This thesis investigates the effectiveness of stem cell therapy in treating osteoarthritis in dogs. Osteoarthritis is a common degenerative joint disease in dogs that causes pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. Current treatment options for osteoarthritis in dogs are limited and often focus on managing symptoms rather than addressing the underlying cause. Stem cell therapy has emerged as a promising regenerative medicine approach that aims to repair damaged tissues and promote healing. This study aims to evaluate the potential of stem cell therapy as a novel treatment option for osteoarthritis in dogs. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to establish the current understanding of osteoarthritis pathogenesis, existing treatment modalities, and the mechanisms of action of stem cell therapy. The study will also include a clinical trial involving a cohort of dogs diagnosed with osteoarthritis who will receive stem cell treatment and undergo regular assessments to evaluate treatment outcomes. Findings from the study will be discussed in detail, focusing on the efficacy of stem cell therapy in improving clinical symptoms, joint function, and quality of life in dogs with osteoarthritis.
