Abstract
The use of herbal remedies in veterinary medicine has gained popularity due to their perceived safety and efficacy in treating various ailments in domestic animals. This thesis aims to assess the efficacy of herbal remedies in managing common ailments in domestic animals. The study focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of selected herbal remedies in treating conditions such as skin disorders, digestive problems, respiratory issues, and musculoskeletal disorders in animals. The research methodology involves conducting a comprehensive literature review to gather existing knowledge on the use of herbal remedies in veterinary medicine. This review covers studies on the pharmacological properties of herbal compounds, their mechanisms of action, and documented cases of successful treatment outcomes in animals. Data collection for this thesis includes both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Qualitative data will be obtained through interviews with veterinary practitioners experienced in using herbal remedies, while quantitative data will be gathered through surveys and case studies of animals treated with herbal remedies. The data will be analyzed using statistical methods to determine the efficacy of herbal treatments compared to conventional veterinary medications. The findings of this study will be presented in detail in the discussion chapter, highlighting the effectiveness of herbal remedies in managing common ailments in domestic animals. Factors such as dosage, administration methods, and potential side effects of herbal treatments will also be discussed. In conclusion, this thesis contributes to the growing body of knowledge on the use of herbal remedies in veterinary medicine. The results provide valuable insights into the efficacy of herbal treatments for common ailments in domestic animals, offering potential alternative options for veterinary care.
