The sustainable management of soil resources is crucial for ensuring food security and maintaining ecosystem health. This study investigates the impact of different land management practices on soil health and crop productivity. The research aims to provide insights into how various agricultural practices influence soil quality and its implications for crop production. The study begins with a comprehensive literature review that examines the existing knowledge on soil health indicators, land management practices, and their effects on crop productivity. Various factors such as soil fertility, soil structure, soil moisture, and soil organic matter content will be considered in the evaluation of soil health. Additionally, the study will explore the relationships between soil health indicators and crop yield to identify the most effective land management practices. In the research methodology, a combination of field experiments, soil sampling, laboratory analysis, and statistical modeling will be employed to assess soil health parameters and crop productivity across different land management systems. The study will be conducted in multiple agricultural sites to capture the variability in soil conditions and management practices. The results of this investigation will be discussed in Chapter Four, where the findings from the field experiments and soil analysis will be presented and interpreted. The discussion will address the impact of different land management practices on soil health indicators such as soil pH, nutrient availability, microbial activity, and soil erosion. The implications of these findings for crop productivity and sustainable agriculture will be highlighted.
