Thesis Abstract

Abstract
The increasing environmental pollution has necessitated the development of innovative solutions for effective remediation. Nanoparticles have shown promising potential in various applications, including environmental remediation due to their unique properties. This research project focuses on the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles for environmental remediation purposes. The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of synthesized nanoparticles in removing pollutants from contaminated environments. The project begins with a comprehensive review of relevant literature on nanoparticles, environmental pollution, and remediation techniques. Various synthesis methods of nanoparticles will be explored, along with the characterization techniques to evaluate their properties. The study will also investigate the interaction between nanoparticles and pollutants in the environment to understand the remediation mechanisms. In the research methodology, the synthesis process of nanoparticles will be detailed, including the selection of precursors, reaction conditions, and characterization techniques employed. The nanoparticles will be characterized using advanced analytical tools to determine their size, shape, surface properties, and composition. The effectiveness of the synthesized nanoparticles in removing pollutants will be evaluated through batch experiments and kinetic studies. The findings from the study will be discussed in detail in Chapter Four, highlighting the performance of the synthesized nanoparticles in environmental remediation. The results will be analyzed to assess the efficiency of the nanoparticles in removing various pollutants and their potential application in real-world environmental cleanup scenarios. The discussion will also address any challenges encountered during the synthesis and characterization process. In conclusion, this research project aims to contribute to the growing field of nanotechnology in environmental remediation by synthesizing and characterizing nanoparticles for pollutant removal. The study provides valuable insights into the application of nanoparticles in addressing environmental challenges and offers recommendations for future research directions. Overall, the project emphasizes the importance of innovative nanomaterials in sustainable environmental management and the potential for nanoparticles to play a significant role in remediation strategies. Keywords Nanoparticles, Environmental Remediation, Synthesis, Characterization, Pollution, Sustainable Remediation.
