Thesis Abstract

Abstract
The relationship between a leader and their executive secretary is crucial in determining the overall productivity and success of an organization. This research project seeks to explore how different leadership styles impact the executive secretary relationship and subsequently influence productivity levels within the workplace. The study aims to investigate various leadership styles, including autocratic, democratic, transformational, and servant leadership, to determine their effects on the dynamics between leaders and executive secretaries. By analyzing these leadership styles, the research aims to provide insights into how each style can either enhance or hinder the relationship between a leader and their executive secretary. Furthermore, the project will examine the role of effective communication, trust, and mutual respect in fostering a positive relationship between leaders and executive secretaries. It will also explore how factors such as emotional intelligence and empathy play a crucial role in shaping the interactions between leaders and their support staff. The research will utilize a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather comprehensive data on the subject. Through surveys distributed to executives and their secretaries, the study will assess the perceived leadership styles and their impact on the relationship quality and productivity levels within the organization. Qualitative interviews will provide deeper insights into the experiences and perspectives of both leaders and executive secretaries, shedding light on the nuances of their interactions and how leadership styles influence their working dynamics. By triangulating the data from surveys and interviews, the research aims to provide a holistic understanding of the relationship between leadership style, executive secretary dynamics, and workplace productivity. The findings of this study are expected to contribute valuable insights to organizational leaders and human resource professionals seeking to optimize the effectiveness of their support staff. By understanding the impact of different leadership styles on the executive secretary relationship, organizations can tailor their leadership approaches to foster positive working relationships and enhance overall productivity levels within the workplace.
