This thesis investigates the effects of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) on cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals. The aim of the study is to determine the impact of HIIT on various cardiovascular parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels in individuals with a sedentary lifestyle. Sedentary behavior is a growing concern due to its association with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases. HIIT has gained popularity as an effective exercise regimen that offers time-efficient benefits compared to traditional moderate-intensity continuous training. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key studies related to HIIT and cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals.
