Thesis Abstract

Abstract
Physical inactivity is a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, which are the leading cause of mortality worldwide. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of exercise intensity on cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals. A total of 100 sedentary participants were recruited and randomly assigned to one of three exercise intensity groups low intensity, moderate intensity, and high intensity. Baseline measurements of cardiovascular health parameters, including blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol levels, and aerobic capacity, were taken before the intervention. The exercise intervention consisted of a 12-week supervised exercise program, with participants in each group engaging in different intensity levels of exercise. Regular assessments of cardiovascular health parameters were conducted throughout the intervention period. Data analysis revealed significant improvements in cardiovascular health parameters in all three groups, with the high intensity group showing the most pronounced improvements. The findings of this study highlight the importance of exercise intensity in improving cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals. Higher intensity exercise appears to elicit greater cardiovascular benefits compared to lower intensity exercise. These results have important implications for the development of exercise interventions aimed at improving cardiovascular health in sedentary populations. In conclusion, this study provides valuable insights into the effects of exercise intensity on cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals. The results underscore the importance of incorporating high intensity exercise into physical activity recommendations for sedentary individuals to promote cardiovascular health and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Further research is warranted to explore the long-term effects of different exercise intensities on cardiovascular health outcomes.
