Thesis Abstract

Abstract
Physical activity plays a crucial role in maintaining overall health and well-being, particularly in the context of cardiovascular function. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of exercise intensity on cardiovascular function in sedentary individuals. A total of 50 sedentary participants aged between 18 to 30 years were recruited for the study. The participants were randomly assigned to either a low-intensity or high-intensity exercise group. Baseline cardiovascular assessments were conducted for all participants, including heart rate, blood pressure, and cardiac output measurements. Chapter One of the thesis provides an introduction to the research topic, background information, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key studies related to the effects of exercise intensity on cardiovascular function. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in the study, including details on participant recruitment, exercise protocols, cardiovascular assessments, data collection methods, and statistical analysis techniques. The methodology section also discusses ethical considerations and potential limitations of the study. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings obtained from the study. It includes an analysis of the impact of exercise intensity on cardiovascular parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, cardiac output, and vascular function. The results are compared between the low-intensity and high-intensity exercise groups to assess the differences in cardiovascular responses. The concluding Chapter Five summarizes the key findings of the study and discusses their implications for sedentary individuals looking to improve their cardiovascular health through exercise. The study highlights the importance of tailored exercise programs based on individual fitness levels and goals. Recommendations for future research in this area are also provided. Overall, this study contributes to the growing body of literature on the relationship between exercise intensity and cardiovascular function in sedentary individuals. The findings underscore the importance of regular physical activity in promoting cardiovascular health and suggest that the intensity of exercise may play a significant role in achieving optimal cardiovascular benefits.
