Thesis Abstract

Abstract
This thesis investigates the effects of different exercise intensities on cardiovascular health in young adults. The study aims to provide valuable insights into how varying exercise intensities impact cardiovascular parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, and overall cardiovascular fitness. The research methodology involved a randomized controlled trial with participants aged 18-30 years, who were divided into three groups based on exercise intensity levels low, moderate, and high. The participants underwent a structured exercise program for a period of 12 weeks, with assessments conducted before and after the intervention. The literature review revealed that regular physical activity is associated with numerous cardiovascular benefits, including improved cardiac function, lower blood pressure, and reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases. However, the optimal exercise intensity for maximizing these benefits remains unclear, with conflicting findings in existing research. This study addresses this gap by directly comparing the effects of different exercise intensities on cardiovascular health in a controlled setting. The results of the study demonstrated significant improvements in cardiovascular parameters across all three exercise intensity groups. Participants in the high-intensity group showed the most pronounced improvements in cardiovascular fitness, with notable reductions in resting heart rate and blood pressure. The moderate-intensity group also exhibited improvements in these parameters, albeit to a lesser extent. Surprisingly, the low-intensity group also experienced positive changes in cardiovascular health, highlighting the benefits of even mild exercise on the heart and circulatory system. The findings suggest that individuals can derive cardiovascular benefits from engaging in physical activity at varying intensities, with higher intensities potentially offering greater improvements in cardiovascular health. However, it is essential to consider individual fitness levels and health conditions when prescribing exercise intensities to maximize benefits and minimize risks. The study contributes valuable data to the existing literature on exercise and cardiovascular health, emphasizing the importance of regular physical activity for maintaining optimal heart function and overall cardiovascular well-being in young adults. In conclusion, this thesis provides a comprehensive analysis of the effects of different exercise intensities on cardiovascular health in young adults. The findings underscore the importance of incorporating regular physical activity into daily routines and highlight the potential benefits of engaging in exercise at varying intensities. The implications of this research extend to health professionals, policymakers, and individuals seeking to improve their cardiovascular fitness and overall well-being through targeted exercise interventions. Further research is warranted to explore the long-term effects of different exercise intensities on cardiovascular health and to tailor exercise prescriptions to individual needs and preferences.
