Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of exercise on cardiovascular health in older adults. With the aging population on the rise globally, the importance of maintaining cardiovascular health in older individuals has become a significant public health concern. The aim of this study is to explore the potential benefits of exercise interventions in improving cardiovascular health parameters such as blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol levels, and overall cardiovascular fitness in older adults. The research methodology employed in this study includes a systematic literature review to examine existing evidence on the relationship between exercise and cardiovascular health in the elderly population. A quantitative research approach will be utilized to collect and analyze data from a sample of older adults participating in an exercise intervention program. Various cardiovascular health indicators will be measured before and after the exercise intervention to assess the effectiveness of the program. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights into the role of exercise in promoting cardiovascular health and reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases in older adults. The results will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the benefits of exercise in the elderly population and inform healthcare professionals, policymakers, and older individuals themselves about the importance of incorporating regular physical activity into their daily routines. Overall, this thesis aims to highlight the significance of exercise as a preventive measure against cardiovascular diseases in older adults and advocate for the implementation of tailored exercise programs to improve cardiovascular health outcomes in this vulnerable population. By promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices, older adults can enhance their overall quality of life and reduce the burden of cardiovascular diseases associated with aging.
