Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals. Sedentary lifestyles are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, highlighting the need for effective interventions to improve cardiovascular health in this population. HIIT has gained popularity as an efficient and time-effective exercise regimen that has shown promising results in improving cardiovascular fitness. However, the specific effects of HIIT on cardiovascular health in sedentary individuals remain unclear. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects of a structured HIIT program on cardiovascular health parameters, including aerobic capacity, blood pressure, lipid profile, and cardiac function, in sedentary individuals. A comprehensive literature review will be conducted to establish the current understanding of HIIT and its effects on cardiovascular health. The research methodology will involve recruiting sedentary individuals and implementing a supervised HIIT program over a specified duration.
