Telemedicine has emerged as a promising tool for improving access to healthcare services, particularly in the field of pediatric care. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of telemedicine in managing pediatric asthma care. Asthma is a common chronic respiratory condition in children, and effective management is crucial to ensure optimal health outcomes. However, access to specialized pediatric asthma care can be limited, especially in rural or underserved areas. Telemedicine offers a potential solution by enabling remote consultations, monitoring, and education for patients and caregivers. This research project will begin with an introduction to the significance of the topic and the background of the study, highlighting the challenges faced in pediatric asthma care and the potential benefits of telemedicine. The problem statement will outline the gaps in current pediatric asthma care that telemedicine can address. The objectives of the study will focus on evaluating the effectiveness of telemedicine interventions in improving asthma management outcomes in pediatric patients. A comprehensive review of the existing literature will be conducted to explore the current state of telemedicine applications in pediatric asthma care. The literature review will encompass ten key areas, including the prevalence of pediatric asthma, traditional asthma management strategies, the role of telemedicine in healthcare delivery, and previous studies on telemedicine interventions in pediatric asthma care. The research methodology section will detail the study design, participants, data collection methods, and analysis techniques. The methodology will include at least eight components, such as the selection criteria for participants, the telemedicine platform used, outcome measures, and statistical analysis methods. The findings of the study will be presented and discussed in detail in the results chapter. The effectiveness of telemedicine in managing pediatric asthma care will be assessed based on key outcomes such as asthma control, medication adherence, healthcare utilization, and patient satisfaction. In conclusion, this thesis will summarize the key findings of the study and their implications for improving pediatric asthma care through telemedicine.
