This thesis explores the impact of telemedicine on the management of childhood asthma in rural areas. Childhood asthma is a common chronic respiratory condition that affects children worldwide, with significant morbidity and healthcare utilization. However, children living in rural areas often face barriers to accessing specialized care due to geographic remoteness and limited healthcare resources. Telemedicine, the use of technology to deliver healthcare services remotely, has emerged as a promising solution to address these challenges. The primary objective of this study is to assess the effectiveness of telemedicine in managing childhood asthma in rural areas. A mixed-methods approach will be utilized to gather both quantitative and qualitative data. The study will involve the collection of data from healthcare providers, caregivers, and children with asthma in rural communities. Quantitative data will be collected through surveys and medical records review, while qualitative data will be obtained through interviews and focus group discussions.
