Telemedicine has emerged as a transformative tool in healthcare, providing opportunities to overcome barriers to accessing care, particularly in rural communities. This thesis explores the impact of telemedicine on patient care in rural areas from a nursing perspective. The study investigates how telemedicine interventions influence patient outcomes, nursing practice, and healthcare delivery in underserved regions. A comprehensive review of literature on telemedicine, nursing in rural settings, and patient care outcomes forms the basis of this research. The methodology employed includes a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative interviews and surveys with healthcare providers and patients in rural communities. The findings of this study reveal the positive impact of telemedicine on patient care in rural communities. Improved access to healthcare services, enhanced patient monitoring, and increased patient engagement are identified as key benefits of telemedicine interventions.
