Telemedicine has emerged as a promising solution to address healthcare disparities in rural communities by bridging the gap between patients and healthcare providers through the use of technology. This thesis explores the impact of telemedicine on patient care in rural communities through a detailed case study. The study aims to examine the effectiveness of telemedicine in improving access to healthcare services, enhancing patient outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs in rural settings. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and key definitions. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key areas related to telemedicine, patient care in rural communities, and previous studies on the impact of telemedicine on healthcare outcomes. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology used in this study, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations of the research methodology. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings, analyzing the impact of telemedicine on patient care in rural communities based on the data collected during the case study. The results of the study indicate that telemedicine has a positive impact on patient care in rural communities by improving access to healthcare services, increasing patient satisfaction, and reducing healthcare costs.
