Telemedicine, a rapidly advancing field in healthcare, has exhibited promising potential in transforming the management of chronic diseases, particularly in older adult populations. This thesis explores the impact of telemedicine on chronic disease management in older adults from a nursing perspective. The study delves into the background of telemedicine applications, the challenges faced in managing chronic diseases in older adults, and the potential benefits of integrating telemedicine into their care. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with healthcare professionals and quantitative data analysis to gain comprehensive insights into the subject matter. The literature review section critically examines existing studies on telemedicine applications in chronic disease management, focusing on its effectiveness, accessibility, and patient outcomes among older adult populations. The findings highlight the potential advantages of telemedicine, such as improved access to care, enhanced self-management, and better health outcomes for older adults with chronic conditions.
