This thesis investigates the effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions in reducing stress among nurses working in a hospital setting. Stress is a prevalent issue in the nursing profession, impacting not only the well-being of nurses but also the quality of patient care. Mindfulness-based interventions have gained attention as a potential strategy to help individuals cope with stress and improve overall mental health. This study aims to explore the impact of mindfulness practices on stress reduction specifically among nurses and evaluate the implications for their professional performance. The research methodology employed in this study involves a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data will be collected through surveys to assess the level of stress among nurses before and after participating in mindfulness-based interventions. Qualitative data will be gathered through interviews with nurses to explore their experiences with mindfulness practices and the perceived impact on their stress levels. A sample of nurses working in a hospital setting will be recruited to participate in the study. The findings of this research will contribute to the existing literature on stress management in nursing and provide insights into the potential benefits of mindfulness-based interventions for nurses. It is expected that participating in mindfulness practices will lead to a reduction in stress levels among nurses, ultimately improving their overall well-being and job satisfaction. The implications of these findings for nursing practice and recommendations for future research will be discussed.
