Stroke is a leading cause of long-term disability worldwide, often resulting in impaired motor function and decreased quality of life for survivors. Traditional rehabilitation approaches have limitations in engaging patients and promoting optimal recovery. Virtual reality (VR) technology has emerged as a promising tool in stroke rehabilitation, offering interactive and engaging environments to enhance motor function recovery. This thesis explores the role of VR technology in improving motor function in stroke patients through a rehabilitation approach. Chapter One provides an introduction to the study, presenting the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. The literature review in Chapter Two examines existing research on VR technology in stroke rehabilitation, highlighting its effectiveness, applications, and potential benefits for motor function recovery. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including study design, participant selection, VR intervention protocols, outcome measures, data analysis methods, ethical considerations, and limitations. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings, analyzing the impact of VR technology on motor function improvement in stroke patients based on the study results.
