Abstract
This research project explores the job prospects for library and information science (LIS) graduates in Nigeria. The study delves into the current employment landscape for LIS professionals in Nigeria, examining the demand for their skills in various sectors. The research investigates the factors that influence the job market for LIS graduates, including the changing information environment, technological advancements, and educational requirements. Through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, this study analyzes the career opportunities available to LIS graduates in Nigeria. Surveys and interviews are conducted with LIS professionals working in different organizations to gather insights into their employment experiences and challenges. Additionally, data on job advertisements, professional networking platforms, and government reports are examined to assess the demand for LIS skills in the Nigerian job market.
