This project seeks to delve into the pivotal role of IHL in armed conflict, aiming to provide a comprehensive analysis of its legal framework, principles, application, and challenges.</div><div>The project will explore the historical evolution of IHL, its core principles, and the role of international organizations and tribunals in interpreting and enforcing its provisions. It will examine the legal protections and rights of civilians and non-combatants, the regulation of means and methods of warfare, and the implementation and enforcement of IHL at national and international levels. Additionally, the project will address contemporary issues, emerging challenges, and ethical dilemmas in the application of IHL, as well as propose policy recommendations for strengthening its effectiveness and relevance in modern armed conflicts.</div><div>By critically evaluating the current state of affairs and proposing future directions, this work aspires to contribute to the ongoing discourse on the role of international humanitarian law in armed conflict, fostering a balanced and ethical approach that promotes the protection of civilians, upholds human rights, and regulates the conduct of parties involved in armed conflicts.</div> <br><p></p>
