In response to this growing challenge, various cybercrime laws have been enacted to combat online fraud and protect digital assets. However, the effectiveness of these laws in addressing the evolving nature of cybercrime remains a subject of debate and scrutiny. This thesis aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of cybercrime laws and their effectiveness in combating online fraud. The research will delve into the background of cybercrime legislation, exploring its historical development and the rationale behind its enactment.
