This project aims to assess the implications of insurance in promoting wildlife conservation efforts. It will analyze the role of insurance in mitigating risks to wildlife and their habitats, evaluate the effectiveness of current insurance products and policies in supporting wildlife conservation, and propose strategies for leveraging insurance to enhance conservation initiatives and biodiversity protection.

Thesis Overview

The preservation of wildlife and their natural habitats is a critical global priority, given the increasing threats posed by habitat destruction, poaching, climate change, and human-wildlife conflicts. Insurance can potentially play a significant role in supporting wildlife conservation efforts by providing financial mechanisms to mitigate risks, compensate for conservation-related losses, and incentivize sustainable conservation practices. This project seeks to comprehensively assess the implications of insurance in promoting wildlife conservation efforts and provide insights into the development of effective insurance mechanisms to support biodiversity protection and conservation.

This project aims to provide valuable insights for insurers, conservation organizations, policymakers, and stakeholders in wildlife conservation on the implications of insurance in promoting conservation efforts. By addressing the ethical considerations and social implications of insuring wildlife conservation, this study aims to facilitate the responsible and sustainable development of conservation practices. Through a comprehensive analysis of insurance frameworks, conservation risks, and the role of insurance in promoting wildlife conservation, this project will contribute to the advancement of responsible conservation and insurance practices.
