Adolescents experiencing anxiety disorders often face challenges accessing effective therapeutic interventions due to various barriers. This research project explores the potential of utilizing Virtual Reality (VR) technology as an innovative approach to providing therapeutic interventions for adolescents with anxiety disorders. The study focuses on the application of VR technology within the context of guidance and counselling to address the specific needs of this vulnerable population. The research begins with a comprehensive introduction that highlights the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. In the literature review, ten key themes related to anxiety disorders in adolescents, traditional therapeutic interventions, and the emerging role of VR technology in mental health care are critically analyzed to establish the theoretical foundation for the study. The research methodology chapter outlines the detailed approach taken to investigate the effectiveness of VR technology in providing therapeutic interventions for adolescents with anxiety disorders. Key components such as research design, participant selection, data collection methods, ethical considerations, and data analysis techniques are thoroughly described to ensure the rigor and validity of the study. Chapter four presents an elaborate discussion of the findings obtained from implementing VR technology in therapeutic interventions for adolescents with anxiety disorders.
