Climate change poses significant challenges to coastal communities worldwide, particularly in vulnerable regions. This research project focuses on investigating the specific impact of climate change on coastal communities within a selected region, aiming to provide valuable insights into the implications for local populations, economies, and environments. The study adopts a case study approach to examine the vulnerabilities and adaptive capacities of a specific coastal area in the face of climate change. The first chapter of the thesis provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definitions of key terms. Chapter two conducts a comprehensive literature review, analyzing ten key studies that explore the impacts of climate change on coastal areas and the strategies employed to mitigate these effects. Chapter three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, detailing the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, ethical considerations, and limitations. The methodology chapter also discusses the theoretical framework guiding the research and justifies the chosen approach for the case study. Chapter four presents a detailed discussion of the findings from the case study analysis, highlighting the specific impacts of climate change on the coastal community in the selected region.
