This thesis aims to assess the effectiveness of community-based conservation initiatives in biodiversity conservation by examining their impact on biodiversity conservation outcomes and community livelihoods. The study begins with an introduction that provides background information on the importance of biodiversity conservation and the need for community involvement in conservation efforts. The problem statement highlights the challenges faced in achieving effective conservation outcomes through community-based initiatives, while the objectives of the study outline the specific goals that will be addressed. The limitations and scope of the study are also discussed to provide a clear understanding of the research boundaries. A comprehensive literature review examines existing studies on community-based conservation initiatives and their impact on biodiversity conservation and community livelihoods.
