The study aims to analyze the current waste management practices in urban areas, identify challenges and opportunities for improvement, and propose recommendations for more sustainable waste management systems. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms.
