The study aims to investigate the current waste management practices, identify challenges, and propose strategies for optimizing these practices to minimize environmental impacts and promote sustainable development. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to examine existing waste management practices, policies, and technologies. Data collection techniques include surveys, interviews, and case studies to gather information on waste generation, collection, disposal, and recycling processes in urban areas. The study also incorporates quantitative analysis to assess the environmental impact of current waste management practices and model scenarios for optimization.
