Abstract
This thesis investigates the effectiveness of sustainable waste management practices in reducing environmental impact. The world is facing a growing waste management crisis with detrimental consequences for the environment, human health, and ecosystems. Sustainable waste management practices are essential to mitigate these negative impacts and promote environmental sustainability. This study aims to assess the current state of waste management practices, identify their effectiveness in reducing environmental impact, and propose recommendations for improvement. The research begins with a comprehensive literature review to explore existing knowledge and theories related to sustainable waste management practices and their environmental implications. The study then employs a mixed-methods research approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of different waste management strategies in reducing environmental impact. Data collection methods include surveys, interviews, and case studies to gather insights from waste management professionals, policymakers, and stakeholders. The findings reveal the challenges and limitations of current waste management practices in addressing environmental concerns such as pollution, resource depletion, and greenhouse gas emissions.
