This thesis investigates the impact of social media marketing on the growth of small businesses, with a specific focus on local retail stores. In recent years, social media platforms have become crucial tools for businesses of all sizes to reach and engage with their target audiences. Small businesses, in particular, have increasingly turned to social media marketing as a cost-effective way to promote their products and services. However, the effectiveness of social media marketing in driving growth for small businesses, especially local retail stores, remains a topic of debate and requires further exploration. The research methodology employed in this study includes a comprehensive literature review to establish the theoretical foundation of social media marketing and its impact on business growth. Through a case study approach, data will be collected from a sample of local retail stores that actively engage in social media marketing activities. Both qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques will be used to examine the relationship between social media marketing efforts and key business growth indicators such as sales revenue, customer acquisition, and brand awareness. The findings of this study are expected to provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of social media marketing strategies for small businesses, particularly those operating in the local retail sector.
