This thesis examines the portrayal and exploration of postcolonial themes in contemporary British literature. With a focus on selected works by prominent British authors, this study seeks to analyze how these writers engage with issues of colonialism, imperialism, identity, power dynamics, and cultural hybridity in their literary creations. Through a close reading of the texts, this research aims to elucidate the ways in which postcolonial perspectives are represented and interrogated in the context of contemporary British society. The introduction provides an overview of the research objectives, outlining the significance of the study in the field of English and Literary Studies.
