Thesis Abstract

This project focuses on the design and construction of a solar tracking system to optimize the energy generation of photovoltaic panels. The system will incorporate sensors and actuators to orient the solar panels according to the position of the sun throughout the day, maximizing the absorption of solar radiation. The project will involve the development of a microcontroller-based control system to accurately track the sun's movement and adjust the orientation of the solar panels in real time. The performance of the solar tracking system will be evaluated through simulation studies and experimental testing under varying environmental conditions. The successful implementation of this system has the potential to significantly increase the energy output of solar power installations and improve their cost-effectiveness.
