Abstract
The College of Education, Ekiadolor-Benin, is facing significant challenges due to overpopulation. This research project aims to identify and analyze the problems associated with overpopulation in the college and propose potential solutions to address these issues. The study will utilize a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods to gather comprehensive information. The research will involve surveys and interviews with students, faculty members, and administrative staff to understand their perspectives on the impact of overpopulation on various aspects of the college. Data analysis will focus on identifying key issues such as overcrowded classrooms, limited resources, increased competition for facilities, and reduced quality of education due to high student-to-teacher ratios. The findings of this study are expected to highlight the negative effects of overpopulation on the overall learning environment and academic performance in the College of Education, Ekiadolor-Benin. By understanding these challenges, the research aims to provide recommendations for effective strategies to manage and mitigate the problems associated with overpopulation. Potential solutions may include infrastructure development to accommodate the growing student population, increasing teaching staff to improve the student-teacher ratio, implementing technology-enhanced learning methods to optimize resources, and improving administrative processes to enhance efficiency in managing a large student body. Furthermore, the study will explore the role of stakeholders such as government agencies, educational policymakers, and community members in addressing the challenges of overpopulation in the college. Collaboration among these stakeholders will be essential in implementing sustainable solutions that can support the college in overcoming the negative consequences of overpopulation. Overall, this research project seeks to contribute valuable insights into the problems of overpopulation in the College of Education, Ekiadolor-Benin, and offer practical recommendations to improve the quality of education and the learning environment for students and faculty members. By addressing these challenges effectively, the college can enhance its reputation, attract more students and qualified staff, and ultimately provide a better educational experience for all stakeholders involved.
